Economical, powerful and low in pollutants: that’s the newly developed E 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY. The 4-cylinder in-line engine with direct injection is characterised by its smoothness of operation in all engine speed ranges and has an output of 204 hp and delivers a maximum torque of 310 Nm. Its low consumption figures derive in part from its engine concept with a comparably small displacement of 1.8 litres and turbocharging. Due to the weight saved and the lower inner friction losses the engine functions particularly economically and can therefore comply with the stricter limits regarding consumption and emissions. The optimised CGI direct injection also helps reduce petrol usage.

Concentrated power is packed into the 6-cylinder engine of the E 350. This engine meets the EU 5 emissions standard, and it can deliver a maximum of 272 hp.
The most powerful engine for the new E-Class Coupé is the E 500. The V8 engine has an output of 388 hp and develops a maximum torque of 530 Nm in the range between 2800 and 4800 rpm. Just 5.4 seconds are all this engine needs to accelerate the Coupé from 0 to 100 km/h – a peak value.
