Thanks to the new-generation LINGUATRONIC voice-control system. Its expanded voice-operated control and many new functions permit even greater ease of operation.

And by the way, navigation with COMAND APS and the optional Audio 50 APS has been improved even further: thanks to the exclusive use of DVD or hard disc memory, now greater amounts of navigation data can be stored and processed much more rapidly than is possible in systems using CD-ROMs. Dynamic route guidance is a special navigation service which, with the help of the radio data system, can even guide you around tailbacks if there is an alternative route. The practical trip computer integrated in the instrument cluster allows you to obtain an overview of relevant data such as the average fuel consumption or the distance travelled.

In addition, the new optional telematics generation for the B-Class features Bluetooth, a USB connection for rapid data transfer, and an SMS function. You can connect an MP3 player, for instance an iPod, or an external hard disc to the optional media interface (for optimum sound quality the music files should have a data rate of at least 128 kbit/s).

The optional Harman Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system brings superb sound quality to your B-Class. With 12 high-performance loudspeakers and the Logic 7® multi-channel stereo technology you have got your very own concert hall, wherever you are sitting. Added to which you have the sort of functions you won’t find at a live concert. For example, you can set the surround reproduction individually – either just in the front, middle or rear sections, or for the entire passenger compartment. You have the possibility to play stereo as well as recordings in 5.1 format in full sound quality.
